Now, I'm no baker or professional cook, so I had to rely on my trusty friend Google for a recipe with a few tweaks of my own.

For my crackers, I added a teaspoon each of paprika and garlic powder and one tablespoon of nutritional yeast for some additional nutrients and cheesiness.

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; Place each on a lightly floured work surface and roll out into a 9-inch square. Doesn’t need to be perfect! Using a fluted pastry wheel, pizza cutter, or small sharp knife, trim dough into a neat 8-inch square. Slice square into 8 strips, each 1 inch wide, then make 8 perpendicular slices, each 1 inch wide. Each 8-inch square will have 64 squares (crackers).

Place squares on the prepared baking sheet. For crunchier crackers, bake for 20 minutes.

Remove from the oven and cool completely on the baking sheet before serving.

Store leftover crackers at room temperature for up to 1 week. I love all white furniture for a childs room. It looks bright, fresh and clean. However, I was in a mood. A crafty kind of mood. The one that can't not be assuaged by anything but making or creating something. ANYTHING. Since I had paint, this seemed to be the best way to go.

I tried the ombre thing with my hair..meeh didn't go so well, so I thought maybe on something that can easily be changed would be the next best thing to try it on.. so here are my ombre dressers.

This one is my daughters...

And, this one is my little mans.

I have to say, I thought I was going to hate it, but it adds a really nice pop in both rooms. So, for now, it will stay.Nikitahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18010861929579625731noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4793230280741937990.post-4514373850281130802014-11-01T14:16:00.000-07:002014-11-01T14:16:12.031-07:00Primary Bee Blocks - August, September, October and NovemberHi Everybody! However, I have come to the conclusion that my daughter does not need a bag to match every outfit and my buying fabric in the name of making her another bag or some accessory was *ahem* getting out of hand... or so I'm told.

So I've decided to make a few and sell them on Etsy instead.

I love this tote - it fits just enough that it is not overwhelming when going out. It holds a notebook/coloring book on the left there is an area on top for crayons/pencils as well as on the bottom with a pocket to store an eraser or any other treasure your child might have.
This is a great snowy/rainy day activity.

Just be sure that if you are a perfectionist.. you may want to sit this one out.. it is not for the faint of heart.

Step 1.

Your choice of vinyl stickers - in this particular project we used the alphabet.

Step 2 - Place Vinyl stickers on your canvas and be sure to really smooth it down so that the paint does not seep through.

Nope seems they only have one speed, and if I am not in constant motion chasing after him I am in the kitchen feeding him...boy can they eat!!!

My daughter and I usually have to sneak in sewing/craft time when he is not awake or else it is a disaster.. but lately he's been interested as well so we've been stitching it up a little bit more these days.

Quilts From My Crayon Box is hosting a primary bee and I've signed my daughter up, I'm not sure who is more excited..either way we should be posting on that each month. I wanted to make it in a bigger size as a quilt but me, math and measurements..bleh, I figured it out but was a little too afraid to actually jump in and do it in fear that it would be off.. so I put it aside, until I saw A Crafty Fox did the same quilt but much larger (go check hers out..so pretty) I decided it was doable and I started on it that same night and got it pieced within a week...HOWEVER..this thing is monstrous! I was not expecting it to be THAT big and I am not sure if it is the batting I have or if I am doing something wrong or if it is just tooo big for me, but it keeps bunching in the back and things keep going one direction while I am trying to go another.. and it's all pinned. So I've put it aside again, and if anyone has any suggestion on quilting something so big on a home machine... please feel free to let me know.
He told her that something happened with her card and that she needed to come inside to pay. The lady was confused because the transaction showed complete and approved. She relayed that to him and was getting ready to leave but the attendant, once again, urged her to come in to pay or there'd be trouble. She proceeded to go inside and started arguing with the attendant about his threat. He told her to calm down and listen carefully:
He said that while she was pumping gas, a guy slipped into the back seat of her car on the other side and the attendant had already called the police.

She became frightened and looked out in time to see her car door open and the guy slip out. The report is that the new gang initiation thing is to bring back a woman and/or her car. One way they are doing this is crawling under women's cars while they're pumping gas or at grocery stores in the nighttime. The other way is slipping into unattended cars and kidnapping the women.

Please pass this on to other women, young and old alike. Be extra careful going to and from your car at night. If she was trying to be inconspicuous, I don't think she'll succeed, This is VERY bright and cheery!! Sure did beat away the grey clouds looming about that day.
I can't stop. I actually dreamed about fabrics one night, I even thought I was get a tension headache from being soo excited about getting a bundle of fabrics in the mail..I just couldn't wait to get my hand on them. So when it finally did arrive I snatched up that jelly roll and without even thinking twice found a quick tutorial that I could use and literally started on it within ten minutes of it being in my possession.. shame I know.. oh well, while I don't hate how it turned out.. I think next time I will at least wait and look for something I really like. It's jsut the top part of it, I'm still working on finishing the Craftsy BOM series so the jelly roll top got set aside for a while.

So quilt top - # 3
I got inspired logged on to Etsy and ordered up some fabrics for my monkey not being sure that I would ever make another quilt, I ordered every fabric I thought at the moment was cute and went with it..so this quilt is busy busy busy... and let me say through the process I almost didn't want to make another one or even finish that one..it was a fight with the machine. Either way, I finished it, and I have plans to make more.. I think I am actually addicted to this, more so than my modge podge..

It was amazing before I started making my sons quilt I couldn't find a single thing that was clear to help me.. after I was finished.. there seem to be a million sites out there. I followed Missouri Star Quilt Company tutorial on YouTube for this one. Love them!!!

I did make a pillow for her too, but I didn't get a snapshot of it.

I had no instructions or any sort of real guide to follow..I had been wanting to make one for a LOONNGG time but thought it would require too much and be way to expensive to make, but one day as I was going through my blogs, I saw a post of The Inspired House Wife.. basically she was talking about making a quilt for the victims of the Tsunami, a childs quilt. She didn't give instructions just pretty much snapped shots as she went along, and I thought hey I can do that.. so I got out my materials..and somewhat followed along.

And this is what I came up with..

The pillow pattern is from Cluck Cluck Sew - Sprocket Pillow.
MOSAIC CANDLE HOLDERS

My munchkin and her Grandma did this project together, and it is fairly easy to do and really cute.

You can use canning jars or any old food jars that you may have, of course as all things go.. thoroughly wash/clean them before you craft with them or anything else with them for that matter.

Jars of your choice
Tissue paper
MODGE PODGE!! : )

And a small/medium sized craft paint brush.

Cut your tissue paper to whatever shape you fancy or if you're on the wild side..multiple shapes
Grab your paint brush and start modge poding it on!

Creates a really cute mosaic like candle holder.

First it started off with Modge Podge, I just discovered the stuff and wanted to Modge Podge everything in the house, from there it was the acrylic paints.. I couldn't paint fast enough for my hearts content..from there sewing, I was sewing, painting and if I could have Modge Podge the fabric.. I'm fairly certain I would have done it. Either way.. I'm stuck on sewing, specifically..quilting. I have always wanted to try and make a quilt and on a whim one day I just went for it, and now I can't stop.

My daughter must have been bitten by the same bug.. or she likes to say..kissed by the same bug. No bug would dare to bite her she said as she is too sweet, so they must be kissing her.

She asked me to show her how to make a quilt of her own, and well that got me really excited so I went and bought her a little mini sewing machine.. we won't go into that though. (horrible waste of money) and a sewing book. I thought this would be a great after school activity we can do together...

I absolutely LOVE this book! It progressive so it starts off with the VERY basics like talking about different fabrics, supplies, and techniques. After that is covered they get into the actual sewing projects, which range from 1 star being the easiest and 3 stars for the more advanced sewer, however by the time they work through each project they should know all of the techniques and have applied each one as they go.

Above are the first two projects my daughter did on her own, she had a LITTLE guidance from me (I had to refrain from wanting to take the needle and do the stitches in a straight line, that was truly a test for me).

What I loved about the first two projects is that they are actually sewing items that they will need for their kits that they have to put together.

1. Pink book.. is the needle book that houses all of their needles.. in this case only one needle for her.

2. Apple pin cushion.

And then they get into the usual round of things you might start off with when first learning how to sew.. a pillow, a small drawn stuffed animal and so forth.

This was money well spent.. (unlike the sewing machine..: /)

I can't wait for her to get further into the book and have more projects done that I can post about.
