Primary Bee Block - April

We got to make another Bento box...I really like these since I get to keep an extra block. We didn't get much pictures this time but here is Aprils block.  I hope you like it, it reminds me of spring with the rpetty bright colors.

Primary Bee Block - March

Hi!  Time for our Primary Bee blocks...  This month Sunshine is the princess and she wanted the bento box.

It was a lot of fun to put together even though it looked complicated it was really easy.  I really enjoyed getting two blocks out of it!

Here we are practicing before we make the actual block.

don't mind the ugly fabric it is only used for our trial runs.

           I got a kick out of the pins matching the fabric so natually I had to have my mom take a picture. : )

Here are our completed blocks.. I sent the one that didn't pucker and the other I will add to my collection of extra blocks that I have made.

Primary Bee Block - February

Guess who's Bee Princess of the month??  My Monkey!

I had a lot of fun picking out my colors.  I chose pink because  it is my most loved color in all the world, then purple is next and I chose blue because my brother really likes blue - he calls it the boy color.

Here I am sewing up my block - actually sewing up a part that I missed somehow..not sure how that occured : )  It took me several tries but I got it down, it's a lot easier than the log cabin..that block was tricky! I like to cut and sew, but not iron. My mum really had to help me figure out how to guide it through the machine.

I can't wait to see everyones blocks and make some more too!

This is a great snowy/rainy day activity. 

 Just be sure that if you are a perfectionist.. you may want to sit this one out.. it is not for the faint of heart.  Watching the brush mix and mingle with colors and just  being slathered on any old way will make you want to run for the hills.. however, it is perfect for children : )

Step 1.

Your choice of vinyl stickers - in this particular project we used the alphabet.

Step 2 - Place Vinyl stickers on your canvas and be sure to really smooth it down so that the paint does not seep through.

Step 3 -  Paints of your choice.

Step 4-  Let the children just go at it...or you can too :)

WHALA!  A master piece is born  :)  

Primary Bee Blocks - December and January

I had a lot of fun making these blocks.  Picking out the fabric for wildchild was really fun, pink is my most liked color : ) 

Here I am practicing the log cabin for the January block. That one was really tricky it took me several tries before I got it down and I used up most of the green in my moms stash. 

I hope you all enjoy your blocks and I cant wait to make more.

Life has been a little crazy around here..I thought as my son got older he would slow down... hahahahaha.  Nope seems they only have one speed, and if I am not in constant motion chasing after him I am in the kitchen feeding him...boy can they eat!!!

My daughter and I usually have to sneak in sewing/craft time when he is not awake or else it is a disaster.. but lately he's been interested as well so we've been stitching it up a little bit more these days.

Quilts From My Crayon Box is hosting a primary bee and I've signed my daughter up, I'm not sure who is more excited..either way we should be posting on that each month.
